New Press Release/Synopsis for 'When the Cold Crept In"

In a quiet suburban neighborhood two women begin their weekly evening walk. But tonight something is different. A sudden cold front and a series of local robberies creates a palpable tension between the women. Recently widowed Jane (Molly Moroney of Hallmark's Front of the Class) appears a bit distant with her best friend Cass (Moira Wilson). Jane eventually confides to her that part of the evening is "missing" - that she can't remember anything before falling asleep just before the cold snap. All she remembers is a recurring dream she had about her late husband, one in which she brutally bludgeons him with a hammer. As the two women walk the dark streets, long-kept secrets about Jane's loveless marriage are revealed. Could they have something to do with what happened... when the cold crept in?

This creepy, adult horror short, written and directed by Dallas filmmaker Bradley Steele Harding (Scream, Sequin, Scream!), is a throwback to the more contemplative, character-driven suspense films of the '60's. It was produced on location in the picturesque east Dallas Texas neighborhood of Lakewood. There was minimal post-production dubbing in order to maximize the real-life soundtrack of the residential neighborhood at night. Film festival screenings will be announced shortly.
