The award-winning short When the Cold Crept In makes its online debut this October! Written and directed by Bradley Steele Harding (Scream, Sequin, Scream!), this scary, micro-budget production thrilled audiences at Texas Frightmare Weekend and has critics calling it "both effective and creepy." Watch the film in its entirety presented in HD widescreen for maximum chills HERE.
In a quiet suburban neighborhood two women begin their weekly evening walk. But tonight something is different. A sudden cold front and a series of local robberies create a palpable tension between them. Recently widowed Jane (Molly Moroney of Hallmark's Front of the Class) appears a bit distant with her best friend Cass (Moira Wilson of Casey Jones). She eventually confides in her that part of the evening is "missing" -- that she doesn't remember anything before falling asleep just after the cold snap. All she recalls is experiencing a troubling recurring dream about her late husband, one in which she brutally bludgeons him with a hammer. As the two women walk the dark streets, long-kept secrets about Jane's loveless marriage are revealed. Could they have something to do with what happened when the cold crept in?
This newest release from Lampkin Lane Productions is a throwback to the more meditative, character-driven suspense films of the '60's. Shot in high definition video, it was filmed on location in a picturesque Dallas Texas neighborhood. Little post-production dubbing was utilized in order to maximize the real-life soundtrack of the residential neighborhood at night.
Be sure to check out author/actress Molly Moroney's new play Kithless in Paradise, now playing in Manhattan through October 9 and Moira Wilson's new film Casey Jones.
